Pushed or Prescribed

Chris Cornell Sticky

Big Pharma may have just taken one of the greatest rock voices of our generation. According to his wife, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden was acting unusual. “When we spoke after the show, I noticed he was slurring his words; he was different,” his wife added. “When he told me he may have taken an extra Ativan or two, I contacted security and asked that they check on him.” Later they would find Chris dead from an apparent suicide.

Ativan (lorazepam), a prescription medication used for anxiety and insomnia, list among its possible adverse effects the following: Can cause paranoid or suicidal ideation and impair memory, judgment, and coordination. Maybe just enough of a reality shift to cause someone so talented, in the prime life, with a loving wife and children, touring with close friends, adored by millions to just end it all. It makes complete drug sense…

Prince (fentanyl), Michael Jackson (propofol), Scott Weiland (cocaine and amphetamines) – drugs KILL, whether pushed or prescribed, whether you’re famous or unknown.  Although it takes more work and effort, it’s far safer to face and fix the cause of your suffering than chemically running away from it. Life is best lived CLEAR rather than under the influence.
